Canadian National has taken delivery of 55 RailRider™ wireless monitoring units from Lat-Lon LLC. The mobile, solar powered RailRider™ units are equipped with internally mounted impact detection devices and will provide CN with immediate notification of overspeed impact events. The RailRider™ units will be primarily deployed on paper and automotive shipments throughout the Northeast. In addition to providing the hardware, Lat-Lon is also providing communication services for the monitoring units through cellular communication channels.
