With every project, Lat-Lon’s primary goal is to give our customers a quick and lasting payback on their investment.
History
Lat-Lon was founded in 1999 and in early 2000 deployed the first self-contained solar powered wireless GPS monitoring system.
Lat-Lon received a patent for its system in the following year.
In 2002 Lat-Lon won a contract to supply UPFE with 2400 refer car monitoring systems.
In 2003, Lat-Lon introduced their second generation tracking system, called RailRider™, that provided significant enhancements over competitive wireless monitoring and tracking systems on the market.
Lat-Lon became the first company to receive Association of American Railroads approval for on-board monitoring of hot bearing events on freight cars.
In 2004, Lat-Lon deployed the first wireless Chlorine monitoring system for barges and railcars and released its locomotive monitoring product.
In 2005, Lat-Lon deployed a high data rate wireless GPS solution for commuter passenger trains in Toronto Canada.
In 2006 Lat-Lon released its third generation GSM / GPRS system and developed a new web based fleet management system with advanced mapping capabilities.
Lat-Lon received its second patent for its revolutionary power system.
